A Prayer for Intercessors
Join us in asking God to encourage our prayer partners
Joining the Bibleless Peoples Prayer Project can be energizing as people rally to intercede for these language communities who desperately need Jesus. It can be educational as one learns about those areas of the world that have no access to His Word in their heart language. It can also be overwhelming when one considers that it may take years before some of these people groups are reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Today, we want to present an opportunity to pray for those who are interceding on behalf of the Bibleless Peoples of the world. Do you recall when Israel met the Amalekites in battle in Exodus 17?
“As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle” (Exodus 17:11-13, NLT).
Sometimes one can get weary in prayer. It’s then, that the body of Christ can come alongside and “hold up their hands” and encourage them to continue on. As it is written in Galatians 6:9: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
- Praise God for those who are committed to intercede for the Bibleless Peoples Prayer Project.
- Pray for endurance and perseverance for these prayer partners.
- Ask God to “strengthen those who hearts are fully committed to Him” (2 Chronicles 16:9) as they seek His will for the Bibleless peoples.
- Pray that they would be “strengthened with all His glorious power so [they] will have all the endurance and patience [they] need. May [they] be filled with joy” (Colossians 1:11).
