“Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should” (Colossians 4:4, NLT).
For minority people groups whose language is under threat of extinction, the work of language development can provide a number of benefits, not the least of which is a way to preserve the language. The production of dictionaries, literacy materials, and other linguistic books are an important part of this process. Praise God for the publication of a dictionary in the Lindu language of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Lindu is a language spoken by only a few thousand people.
- Pray that this accomplishment will bring great joy to the Lindu community! Pray for the successful distribution of the completed dictionaries.
- Ask God to guide the Lindu translation team as they proceed with more language development work.
